Candle Care
Getting the most from your candle
When lighting your Loyal candle for the first time, please burn for 2-3 hours for 20cl candles and 3-4 hours for 50cl candles, allowing the wax to melt across the entire surface diameter of the glass jar. This will create an even burn pool across the entire candle and will also help prolong the life of your candle. Subsequent burns should be no longer than 2-3 hours (20cl) and 3-4 hours (50cl).
Please ensure the candle is on a steady heat-resistant surface as the container can become hot. Never touch or move a burning candle. Keep away from any flammable materials, children and pets. Never leave your candle unattended.
ALWAYS trim the wick to 5mm before each burn. This will promote an even burn, steady flame and limit sooting/mushrooming of wick.
Do not let your candle burn in a draught or close to a heat source as this will cause the flame to smoke and burn unevenly. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Being a natural wax it is very common to experience uneven surfaces after each burn. This is caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. This is a sign of a natural soy wax and has absolutely no effect on the quality or performance of the candle.
Always extinguish your candle with care and attention. Extinguish when 5-10mm of wax remains and do not relight.
Store your candles in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.
